Bernadette was born in Fulham, London into an Irish Catholic family. Before becoming an author she ran a wool shop, produced radio commercials, and was a voice-over agent representing a host of household names.
She is currently working on her fifth book and a second stage musical with her husband, Matthew. They have one daughter, Niamh.
